Self-Compassion and Shame in Addiction Treatment and Recovery: A Mapping Review

Describe and synthesize the extant literature exploring relations between self-compassion and shame in the context of addiction to identify gaps within this emerging literature base to inform further inquiry, and identify intervention targets for and potential benefits of the use of self-compassion in addiction treatment.
