KAIROS PHYSICS FOUNDATIONS
Abstract
Title Kairos Physics: Stratified Time, Rotational Dynamics, and the Emergence of Physical Law Description / Abstract (OSF & Zenodo) This work introduces Kairos Physics, a conceptual and mathematical framework that distinguishes between linear (chronos) time and Kairos time, proposing that time as used in contemporary physics is an emergent representational construct rather than a fundamental property of the universe. We argue that physical reality propagates through stratified configurations (strata), where completed states are static and all dynamics occur in transition layers between them. In this view, causality is preserved without requiring a universal flowing time parameter. Linear time arises from counting completed transitions, while Kairos time describes the intrinsic mode of physical change. Within this framework, rotation is identified as the primary mode of organization across scales. Forces, including gravity, are shown to emerge from constrained rotational dynamics rather than acting as fundamental primitives. Gravity is reinterpreted as a consequence of differential field occupation density, leading naturally to time dilation and inertial effects without invoking spacetime curvature as a fundamental cause. Quantum phenomena are addressed without additional postulates: – Superposition corresponds to unresolved stratum commitment, – Entanglement arises from shared layer origin rather than nonlocal signaling, – The speed of light emerges as a universal refresh limit of layer propagation. The framework further provides a physically intuitive structure for chaos theory, low-entropy systems, biological organization, and observer-dependent temporality. By separating observer time from universal dynamics, Kairos Physics offers a coherent resolution to long-standing conceptual tensions between relativity, quantum mechanics, and chaotic systems. This work is intended as a foundational contribution, suitable for interdisciplinary exploration across physics, cosmology, complexity science, computation, and theoretical biology. Mathematical formalism is introduced where necessary, while conceptual clarity is emphasized to enable accessibility for both early-career researchers and experienced physicists. Keywords Kairos time, stratified physics, rotational dynamics, gravity reinterpretation, time dilation, chaos theory, quantum foundations, entanglement, superposition, emergent time, unification License / Status (optional line if needed) This work is shared as an open research contribution and conceptual framework.
