The Effects of Hope Induction and Help-Seeking Advertisements on Information-Seeking Behavior Among Individuals with Depression
Abstract
This study examines whether a hope induction video, a help-seeking advertisement, or a combination of both can promote more favorable help-seeking attitudes, improve help-seeking intentions, and promote information-seeking behavior among individuals with depression who have not previously sought professional help, compared to a no-video control. The study also aims to examine whether combining hope induction with help-seeking messaging produces stronger effects on these outcomes than either approach alone.
