Remote Sensing-Enabled Numerical Modeling for Geohazard Assessment and Infrastructure Monitoring: A Scoping Review with Implications for the GCC Region
Abstract
This scoping review systematically examines the integration of satellite remote sensing technologies, particularly Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR), with numerical geotechnical models for infrastructure monitoring and geohazard assessment. The review aims to map integration methodologies, identify best practices across infrastructure types, and evaluate applicability to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and other arid environments.
