European Projects as Temporary Organisations: A Scoping Review on Knowledge Management Processes
Abstract
This protocol registers a scoping review investigating the coordination and knowledge management strategies within complex, remote, and multinational "temporary organisations". Despite the significant scale of these consortia, research into their specific management remains limited (Tenhunen-Lunkka & Honkanen, 2024). This study aims to bridge the gap between organisational theory and practical application by synthesising existing literature on project and knowledge management in these contexts. The findings promote the development of evidence-based practical management tools, policy recommendations, and strategies to enhance the collaborative performance of interorganisational projects.
