Abstract

This Scoping review will analyse relevant research related to the health outcomes experienced by women who grew up with low-income and ACEs in high-income countries. The overarching aim is to identify the most prominent health outcomes and suggested/evidenced pathways between childhood low-income, ACES and health for women. The review will be conducted in line with the Arksey & O’Malley (2005) framework and reported according to the PRISMA-ScR Checklist (Tricco et al., 2018). The search strategy was developed in collaboration with information scientists and refined following preliminary searches of the Medline and Web of Science databases. Bibliographic and research design information will be extracted as well as the reported health outcomes, experiences and mechanisms. Data will be charted and managed using review software Rayyan, referencing software Zotero and stored in an excel sheet.
