GraphRAG in Healthcare: A Scoping Review of an Emerging Approach

GraphRAG in Healthcare: A Scoping Review of an Emerging Approach is a scoping review that maps peer-reviewed evidence on graph-augmented retrieval-augmented generation (GraphRAG) systems in healthcare. We summarize clinical use cases, GraphRAG architectural patterns (graph construction and retrieval strategies), and comparative outcomes versus non-graph baselines (standalone LLMs and/or text-only RAG). Methods follow PRISMA-ScR, with records deduplicated in EndNote and screened by two reviewers with consensus resolution. The project includes the protocol, screening decisions, extracted data elements, and summary tables/figures used in the manuscript, with any deviations from the registered plan documented transparently.
