Abstract
Children of parents with mental illness face various challenges in their daily lives. Research on the group's well-being remains scattered; hence, identifying and consolidating relevant literature is crucial to developing a holistic overview in support of low- and middle-income countries. Purpose: To systematically map and qualitatively synthesize evidence on the well-being of COPMI and develop a holistic understanding of the complex phenomenon. Expected outcome: This review synthesizes evidence on the well-being of these children and lays forward recommendations for clinical management and research.
