Infectious respiratory diseases among hired farmworkers in the United States: A scoping review protocol
Abstract
This scoping review synthesizes U.S.-based research on infectious respiratory diseases among migrant and seasonal farmworkers, with attention to how agricultural labor structures, housing, and policy contexts shape exposure and vulnerability. Drawing on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods studies across disciplines, the review will map disease burdens and temporal trends, identify key risk factors and surveillance gaps, and highlight implications for prevention, preparedness, and worker health equity.
