Evidence Synthesis for Policy: International alcohol labeling experiences to foster discussions on non-communicable diseases in Brazil
Abstract
This project consists of an evidence synthesis designed to support the development of effective alcohol labeling policies in Brazil, specifically targeting the prevention and control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Alcohol consumption is a leading risk factor for NCDs, which account for over half of the mortality rate in Brazil. Despite global recommendations, Brazilian labeling practices currently lack alignment with international best practices.
