What is known about how people with MSK conditions in rural deprived areas in the UK access and engage with physiotherapy MSK services: a scoping review.
Abstract
The aim of this scoping review will be to map the existing level of evidence relating to how rural communities access and engage with MSK Physiotherapy services. This will add to the current understanding and knowledge related to how rural communities access healthcare, allowing for areas of future research to be identified. As there is currently limited evidence exploring how underserved rural communities access and engage with MSK Physiotherapy services, a scoping review is proposed as the most appropriate method to identify and map the available evidence (Munn et al, 2018). A scoping review in this context is proposed rather that a systematic review to enable a broader exploration of the topic, allowing for inclusion of a wide breadth of sources (Peters et al, 2020).
