Abstract

This study is a randomized control trial comparing two 8 weeks mindfulness online meditation programs, with an additional 4 week follow up. We are testing the effect of a modified (experimental) program that aims to better support the motivation (through autonomy and competency support) of meditation naive participants and to increase their adherence to home meditation practice. The experimental program will be compared against an usual (control) program, that aims to reflects key elements of mindfulness interventions such as MBSR.
