Abstract

Q-Earth Observer is a conceptual and practical engineering framework for the early detection of seismic events based on coherence analysis of phase-based signals. The system investigates the pre-catastrophic regime, where structural instability may manifest as degradation of phase coherence prior to observable seismic ground motion. The framework is conceptually grounded in the Quantum Inertial Field Hypothesis – Zero Dark Energy (QIFH-ZDE), which models macroscopic matter as generating an effective inertial scalar potential field. Within Q-Earth Observer, this theoretical perspective is employed as an effective phenomenological framework to define measurable engineering variables, such as phase deviation (Δφ) and the Phase Rigidity Index (PRI), rather than as a direct test of fundamental physics. Q-Earth Observer integrates a multi-tier sensing architecture, including large-scale infrastructure sensing, ionospheric GNSS-TEC observations, and crowdsourced edge sensors, combined with digital lock-in techniques and Null-Channel configurations to suppress stochastic noise and enhance weak coherent signals. Edge-to-cloud processing enables scalable analysis, spatial correlation, and early-warning signal generation. This project is presented as an open engineering research framework intended for independent replication, experimental validation, and open scientific discussion. It does not claim deterministic earthquake prediction, but instead aims to provide a testable and extensible platform for studying potential coherence-based precursors to seismic events.
