Abstract

Title: Artificial Intelligence-Enabled Nutrition Management in Inflammatory Bowel Disease: A Scoping Review Description: This scoping review aims to systematically map the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the nutritional management of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Nutrition plays a critical role in IBD outcomes, yet personalized dietary guidance remains challenging. AI technologies, including machine learning and natural language processing, offer promising tools for personalized nutrition, but their application in IBD is underexplored. Objectives: Identify AI applications in IBD nutrition management Categorize AI technologies used Summarize current evidence and identify research gaps Methods: Systematic search of PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, and major Chinese databases (CNKI, WanFang, VIP). Two independent reviewers will screen and extract data following PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Expected Outcomes: A comprehensive evidence of AI applications in IBD nutrition, identification of research gaps, and recommendations for future research. Keywords: Inflammatory Bowel Disease; Artificial Intelligence; Machine Learning; Nutrition Management; Scoping Review
