Abstract

This registration describes the protocol for a scoping review that aims to map educational strategies, training models, and public–private partnership (PPP) initiatives designed to mitigate shortages of medical specialists in specialized care within public health systems. The review will follow the methodological guidance of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and will be reported in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. The evidence generated will support policy analysis and program development, with particular relevance to the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) and the Programa Mais Médicos Especialistas (PMM-E).
