The Effect of Psychological Inoculation on Female University Students with Body Image Disturbance
Abstract
Research Objective: In the era of social media, the aesthetic ideal of "thinness as beauty" has been widely disseminated, leading to significant body image concerns and figure anxiety among numerous women, particularly female university students. Psychological inoculation offers an innovative approach to addressing this issue. This study compared the short-term and long-term efficacy of narrative inoculation (administered through storytelling) and scientific inoculation (based on factual and logical arguments) in improving body image among participants.
