Structural Ethical Orientation in Large Language Models
Abstract
A technical proposal for building intrinsic ethical orientation in AI systems using existing mechanistic interpretability tools. Applies Tension Theory's operator architecture to distinguish structural ethical reasoning from applied constraints in transformer networks. Includes the B-Reduction Safety Test — a falsifiable experiment to determine whether structural orientation can match or exceed external constraint safety metrics.
