Linear-Majoritarian and Systemic-Archetypal Intelligences as Cognitive Types: A Program for Developing a Theoretical Model, Diagnostic Tools, and Empirical Assessment
Abstract
Project Title: Linear-Majoritarian and Systemic-Archetypal Intelligences as Cognitive Types: A Program for Developing a Theoretical Model, Diagnostic Tools, and Empirical Assessment Description: This research program aims to conceptualize, operationalize, and empirically investigate two hypothesized cognitive types: Linear-Majoritarian (LM) Intelligence: thinking optimized for social homeostasis through simplification, conformity, and pragmatic utility. Systemic-Archetypal (SA) Intelligence: thinking oriented toward transformational analysis of complex systems via synthesis of structural-functional and narrative-archetypal patterns. The project unfolds in four stages: Theoretical-methodological: developing foundational monographs, a methodological handbook for SA analysis, and publishing theoretical articles. Construct-oriented: creating and validating psychometric questionnaires for LM/SA diagnosis. Empirical-evaluative: conducting a pilot study to assess tool applicability and gather preliminary prevalence data. Prospective: formulating a roadmap for interdisciplinary research in psychology of innovation, AI alignment, political science, and cultural analytics. Expected outcomes include: a coherent theoretical framework, validated diagnostic tools, initial empirical data, scientific publications, public engagement materials, and a strategic agenda for future interdisciplinary studies. This work seeks to provide a new lens for understanding cognitive diversity, its impact on innovation, decision-making, and societal adaptation to technological and social complexity.
