Abstract

The primary goal of this study is to conduct a systematic review of studies on the effectiveness of scoliosis screening for early detection as well as the effectiveness of early intervention, particularly brace therapy, on both clinical and patient-centered outcomes. These topics are inherently connected, as the potential benefit of bracing may depend on the timing of diagnosis, which may be influenced by screening. Therefore, the value of scoliosis screening can be assessed not only by evaluating studies that directly measure its effectiveness, but also by considering research on the benefits of early intervention.
