Mathematical Modeling of the Pleasure Circuit Mechanism: Stimulus Profiling and Response Prediction using the RASEC Model
Abstract
This study defines human pleasure not merely as a biological reward response or ambiguous emotional preference, but as a signal outcome occurring within the 'Pleasure Circuit' when an individual's unique value criterion(π) structurally matches an external stimulus(π). To elucidate this, We propose the RASEC model, composed of five independent dimensions: Reception (R), Action (A), Situation (S), Emotion (E), and Cognition (C). The model quantifies the mechanism of pleasure generation using a linear combination function: ππππ‘=Ξ£π β
(πβ
π). Here, π denotes the individual's directionality (preference criterion), π represents the sensitivity weight, and π indicates the attribute value of the external stimulus. Notably, unlike existing methods that classify subjects first, this study adopts a methodology that numerically profiles the external stimulus (π) based on RASEC criteria first, and then reverse-engineers the characteristics of an individual's pleasure circuit by observing the deviation in individual responses to it. By providing an analytical framework that converts abstract emotional stimuli into quantitative vectors, this study aims to contribute to the theoretical expansion of Differential Psychology as well as the development of AI persona design and emotion prediction algorithms. μ΄λ₯Ό κ·λͺ
