Intervention effects of different ginsenosides on rodent heart failure model: a network meta-analysis of 12 interventions
Abstract
Objective: This study aims to evaluate and compare the intervention effects and potential advantages of different ginsenosides in animal models of heart failure (HF). Methods: Systematic retrieval and extraction were conducted to obtain relevant research data on the intervention of different ginsenosides (including Rb1, Rg1, Rg3, Rg5 monomers and total ginsenosides) in animal models of heart failure. Outcome indicators included hemodynamic and cardiac function parameters such as left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular short-axis length reduction rate (LVFS), left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDp), and maximum left ventricular pressure rise rate (±dp/dtmax). Additionally, serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and cardiac weight index were also included. The methodological quality of the studies was rigorously assessed using the SYRCLE bias risk tool, and the results were statistically analyzed and efficacy-ranked through network meta-analysis. Furthermore, subgroup analyses were performed based on ginsenoside type and treatment duration to further elucidate the efficacy differences among individual ginsenosides and provide references for related clinical and basic research.
