The Information Space Hypothesis (DMIS): Scale-Dependent Galactic Dynamics without Dark Matter
Abstract
This project introduces the Information Space Hypothesis (DMIS), a scale-dependent framework for galactic dynamics that explains spiral galaxy rotation curves without invoking non-baryonic dark matter or modifying the gravitational law. Using the SPARC dataset of 175 disk galaxies, the project demonstrates that excess rotational support can be interpreted as a non-local, scale-dependent response to baryonic structure. A phenomenological implementation, the Non-Local Kernel Response (NLKR) model, is presented as a testable alternative to dark matter halo models.
