White Dwarf Breakthrough: ISCCR Model Challenges 100-Year-Old Electron Degeneracy Theory
Abstract
A revolutionary new theory of white dwarf structure: the Ion Strong-Coupling Coulomb Repulsion (ISCCR) Model. This work reconstructs the internal support mechanism of white dwarfs from first principles, showing that ion Coulomb repulsion—rather than electron degeneracy pressure—dominates pressure support under dense plasma conditions. The model naturally explains low-mass white dwarf radius anomalies, reproduces the Chandrasekhar limit, and provides testable observational predictions. A paradigm shift in compact object astrophysics.
