Abstract

This study uses baseline survey data from the Japan Habitat Association Menstrual Hygiene Management and Women Empowerment Project to examine the association between household water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure adequacy, menstrual material access, and self-reported menstrual health outcomes among women in Rachuonyo East Sub-County, Homa Bay County, Kenya. The survey was administered in February 2026 as part of a programme focused on menstrual health and hygiene, WASH, social norms, and economic empowerment.
