Morbidity, mortality, and healthcare service utilisation associated with heat exposure in homeless and other disadvantaged populations: A scoping review
Abstract
People experiencing homelessness and disadvantaged populations face heightened risks due to limited access to shelter, cooling, and healthcare resources. Despite growing concern, evidence on the health impacts of heat exposure among people experiencing homelessness and disadvantaged populations remains limited. Our scoping review will provide a broader synthesis of the literature to inform effective strategies and interventions aimed at mitigating the health impacts of extreme heat on these vulnerable populations.
