Abstract

Mental health is a critical component of overall well-being worldwide, and the growing prevalence of mental health issues underscores the need for accessible web-based health services. Virtual reality (VR) has emerged as a widely used tool in the treatment of psychological disorders, including anxiety and depression. Evaluating the efficacy of VR-based interventions is therefore essential. This meta-analysis aims to comprehensively assess the effects of VR interventions on anxiety, depression, and fear. A systematic search was conducted across seven electronic databases, resulting in the inclusion of 60 studies that evaluated the efficacy of VR interventions.
