Sigilith Case Study #2 — The McCormick Notes
Abstract
This case study presents a structural, non‑speculative analysis of the handwritten notes found on Ricky Charles McCormick in 1999. Using the Sigilith framework for symbolic system extraction, the notes are classified not as a cipher, but as a directional movement‑loop system built from repeated checkpoints, rotational phases, and a terminal state. The analysis reconstructs the internal logic of the notes without assuming linguistic content, criminal intent, or cryptographic design. The resulting model demonstrates a stable, closed symbolic ecosystem consistent with personal mnemonic tracking.
