The Altar of Stewardship: From Burden to Vessel
Abstract
My childhood was a landscape of shifting shadows, shaped by a father whose presence was a volatile mix of "ups and downs." For as long as I can remember, safety was a vapor—a mist that appeared briefly only to be burned away by the heat of his temper. When my mother courageously advocated for me in court to negotiate his guardianship rights, the legal victory provided a temporary sense of security. I began to dream of a future in advocacy, believing that if I could hold the law in my hands, I could provide a solid substance to the safety of others.
