ABSTRACT: This booklet presents a historical-poetic inquiry into the cultural memory surrounding Yang Guifei, consort of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. Rather than revising historical records, the work examines how literary and historical narratives attribute responsibility during periods of political crisis. Through a classical regulated verse poem (Nine-Question Fu-style Poem) accompanied by annotations and historical commentary, the study explores how individuals become symbolic bearers of collective decline within cultural memory.
