Hematological markers of cutaneous involvement and peripheral vasculopathy in systemic sclerosis: a cross-sectional study
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between hematological markers (MHR, NLR, PLR, SII, and RDW) and the severity of peripheral vascular and cutaneous manifestations in SSc patients. Patients with severe skin thickening exhibited significantly higher MHR, SII, and RDW values. RDW demonstrated the highest accuracy for severe skin involvement. SSc patients with peripheral vasculopathy showed significantly higher PLR values. The hematological indices MHR, NLR, PLR, SII, and RDW may serve as biomarkers of skin involvement and peripheral vasculopathy in SSc patients.
