English Word Clippings: Ever-Flowing and Live Speech Fodder
Abstract
I find it important to make a diachronic list of English clipped forms. From this list, it becomes possible for those who interested in historical development of English word clippings to study them in linguistics. All the examples are collected from published monolingual dictionaries.
