Abstract

GloHEAD (Global Health and Environment Aggregated Dataset) is a harmonized database integrating seven major international data sources for environmental epidemiology research. Data sources include: - Global Burden of Disease Study 2023 (disease burden estimates) - GBD Summary Exposure Values (89 risk factors) - ERA5 climate reanalysis (temperature, precipitation) - World Bank Development Indicators (socioeconomic data) - WHO Global Health Observatory (environmental health) - Satellite-derived PM2.5 concentrations - Per-capita CO2 emissions Key features: - Temporal coverage: 1990-2023 - Spatial coverage: 204 GBD countries and territories - Over 7.2 million records across 8 core tables - Standardized country names enabling cross-source joins - SQLite format with comprehensive documentation The dataset removes technical barriers to multi-source data harmonization, enabling hypothesis generation and trend analysis for global health research. Full processing code and validation scripts are included. Version: 1.0 Format: SQLite database (compressed) License: See DATA_LICENSE.md for upstream source terms
