Abstract

This dataset supports a systematic review and meta‑analysis on organizational support, mentorship, and retention among rural and early‑career healthcare workers. It compiles structured quantitative data from ten studies (2022–2025), including meta‑analyses, intervention evaluations, and observational designs across hospital, community, and rural settings. Variables capture bibliographic details, setting, population, measures of perceived organizational support and mentoring/preceptorship, and retention‑related outcomes such as turnover intention, intention to stay, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and observed retention where available. The dataset enables pooled and subgroup analyses focused on rural and early‑career staff and is suitable for secondary synthesis, methodological research, and policy‑oriented workforce planning.
