Abstract

The dataset describes an analysis of benthic macroinvertebrate communities from the Someșul Cald, Someșul Rece, and Someșul Mic rivers in 2020, across 23 sampling stations. It includes: a list of sampling sites with associated environmental characteristics (Table R1); a list of identified benthic invertebrate taxa with details on their assignment to ecological guilds (Table R2); taxonomic and functional diversity indices and water quality indices calculated for the dataset (Table R3); and zoobenthic indicator taxa with respect to elevation, human impact, and sediment structure (Table R4). The dataset is supporting the research paper: Cîmpean Mirela, Szekeres Edina, Teban-Man Adela, Coman Cristian, Battes Karina P., Taxonomic and Functional Diversity of Benthic Invertebrates Along a Human Impact Gradient (reviewed)
