Biocrust development modulates ecoenzymatic stoichiometry and drives microbial nutrient limitation across northern China
Abstract
This study systematically examined the C:N:P stoichiometry, extracellular enzyme activities, and enzyme-mediated nutrient limitations (vector length and angle) of biocrusts along an extensive ~3,200 km transect spanning the arid and semi-arid regions of northern China.
