Abstract

The dataset was used for the development and validation of the the Sustainable Development Subjective Engagement Goals Scale (SDGs-SES). Information on participant categories and their SDGs literacy was also collected. The survey was conducted in Japan, targeting 500 adults aged ≧ 18. Participants were recruited, through the online survey service “Freeasy” (https://freeasy-survey.com) under the title “Survey on Behaviors Related to SDGs.” For the purpose of validity evaluation, the following scales were employed: The prosocial behavior scale, The self-report altruism scale, The community consciousness scale, and The Japanese version of the interpersonal responsiveness index. To examine test-retest reliability, the survey was administered twice to the same participants at a one-month interval (Time 1 and Time 2).
