Charte relative à l’audiodescription de peintures, broderies et tapisseries
Abstract
Co-created by blind, partially blind and non-blind people during three French research projects, this charter (French original and English translation) proposes a novel framework for the production of audio descriptions of works of visual art. It aims, firstly, to provide blind and partially blind people with equitable aesthetic access to works of art, and secondly, to give everyone a renewed relationship to visual art by promoting senses other than sight.
