Abstract

The paper presents the results of research on the total number of fires for the period from 2020 to 2024, as well as statistical data on the distribution of fires in rural areas by their main causes. Based on the findings, the authors conclude that it is necessary to develop a universal robotic vehicle for the implementation of innovative firefighting equipment in the fire protection of settlements. The development of autonomous systems that operate in difficult-to-access areas is a highly demanded area in the field of transport engineering. The availability of the specialized equipment for emergency services enhances the effectiveness of providing necessary assistance. The research findings will enable special services to remedy consequences of emergencies faster and to prevent emergencies. The “KOMPAS 3D” software was used for the development and modeling of a robotic fire-extinguishing machine. After analyzing the operation of existing models and evaluating their main advantages and disadvantages, the authors propose ways to modernize the design of special machines. The main modernization involves the design of an unmanned machine that is controlled remotely. The paper presents the results of calculations of the traction and grip properties of the machine’s tracked propulsion system. Based on the research findings, a model of a vehicle for conducting rescue operations in particularly challenging conditions has been developed.
