Abstract

In total 23 bowhead whales were tagged with CATS tags during the summer of 2023 and 2024 in Cumberland Sound, Nunavut, Canada. In total 10 deployment (9.43 hours), which had concurrent video validated kinematic data was used to determine the following results for feeding and non-feeding dives of bowhead whales: - Dive metrics - Changes in fluke stroke frequency - kinematic signature
