Abstract

Videos obtained by the Remotely Operated Vehicle Victor 6000 during the GEOFLAMME scientific expedition offshore Mayotte Island (Indian Ocean), specifically in the Horseshoe area. The video recordings presented here are the following: n°776/7, n°778/9, n°779/10, n°783/14, n°785/16, n°786/17. Details of the duration and localisation of each of these dives are summarized in the following table: The videos are footages of the seafloor in the Horseshoe area, about 10 km east from Mayotte Island. They show the presence natural CO2 hydrates mounds and liquid CO2 vents on the seafloor, and the associated fauna in the area. Dedicated fluid and biological sampling are performed to better characterize the environment. The videos may also be found on the Marine Science videos website at the follwing adresse: https://doi.org/10.17600/18001297
