Abstract

Perceptual-motor capabilities, as core content in physical education at the elementary school level, require multiple learning environments where classes are aimed at strengthening body awareness in various motor actions. The objective of the study was to describe the level of development of perceptual-motor capabilities in schoolchildren in a municipality in Antioquia (Colombia) and its relationship with gender. Methodologically, it was a quantitative study with a non-experimental-descriptive design using non-probabilistic sampling of 82 fourth- and fifth-grade elementary school students.
