La implementación de la teoría de las representaciones sociales en el campo de la Educación Física
Abstract
This review was conducted within the framework of the master's thesis "Didactic Knowledge of Research Content of Physical Education and Sport Teachers in the City of Medellín." This review sought to examine the categories studied within the field of physical education. The implementation of the Theory of Social Representations (TRS) in the field of physical education was analyzed and systematized. This theoretical framework offers an opportunity to address the understanding and representation of content inherent to training processes from a social psychological perspective. The study focused on the representations of physical education teachers and students. Through an exploratory systematic review (2017–2025) in seven databases and following the PRISMA declaration, 20 articles were selected for analysis. The results show a predominance of studies in Spanish (75%), from Colombia (45%), with mixed methods (55%), and a structural theoretical approach (65%). Students are the most studied population (65%), addressing topics such as the body, gender, and assessment, revealing tensions between mechanistic visions and holistic approaches. The absence of a sociodynamic approach is notable. It is concluded that SRT is key to uncovering contradictions in PE, but its application is dispersed, so there is a need to overcome theoretical fragmentation and integrate more critical approaches.
