Innovación tecnológica en la gestión de residuos sólidos en un distrito en Chiclayo, 2025
Abstract
Environmental pollution and inefficient waste management represent one of the most critical issues in several districts of the Chiclayo province. During the years 2024-2025, significant progress has been observed in implementing technological innovations and community projects aimed at improving the segregation, collection, and processing of urban waste. Despite these efforts, waste accumulation, air pollution from trash burning, and a lack of environmental awareness continue to affect residents’ quality of life. Municipal reports and citizen testimonies indicate that respiratory illnesses, skin infections, and gastrointestinal disorders are increasing, especially in vulnerable areas with limited access to public services. This study analyzes the role of technology, community initiatives, and institutional coordination as key elements for sustainable waste management in Chiclayo.
