Analysis of priority traffic quality management in hybrid communication networks with cloud and fog technologies
Abstract
Problem statement. In modern hybrid networks with cloud and fog technologies, the task of effectively managing the quality of service (QoS) of traffic, taking into account different classes and priorities, arises. The complexity lies in the need to coord inate the resources of the cloud and fog to ensure high performance and minimize delays and data loss. Objective. To develop a mathematical model and methods of priority traffic quality management in hybrid networks based on the theory of automatic control, which will allow to optimally distribute resources between cloud and fog subsystems, taking into account the priorities of different classes of traffic. Results. A dynamic model of the system was created, taking into account the interaction of cloud and fog sub systems and traffic priorities. The solution of the optimal control problem using the Riccati equation allowed us to obtain a control matrix that stabilizes the system and improves QoS. Numerical simulations showed a reduction in delays and losses for high -priority traffic by 25-30%, as well as a stable system behavior with a reduction in the state norm by more than 90%. Practical significance. The proposed model and control methods can be applied to improve the efficiency and reliability of modern hybrid communication networks, ensuring priority quality of service for critical traffic. The developed model contributes to improving the user experience, optimizing the use of computing resources, and advancing cloud and fog computing technologies in telecommunications.
