Abstract

This dataset contains data from a cohort study (N = 64) conducted among Polish lactating women. The data were collected as part of the Mum’s Milk Plus project. The dataset includes measurements of human milk adipokines (leptin, ghrelin, adiponectin) and immunoactive components (lactoferrin, secretory IgA, IgM, IgG, CRP), maternal body composition and fat distribution (including body fat percentage, BMI, and waist-to-hip ratio), and maternal dietary intake based on 3-day dietary records. Additional variables include maternal demographic and socioeconomic characteristics and infant birth parameters (weight, length, gestational age). Milk components were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), and body composition was assessed using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). The dataset supports analyses of associations between maternal adiposity, diet, and human milk bioactive composition.
