Psychosocial care needs in older adults: A call for comprehensive geriatric support
Abstract
Loneliness, depression, anxiety, functional deterioration, and decreased life satisfaction are all consequences of unfulfilled psychosocial needs. Despite these dangers, biological and functional issues continue to take precedence over relational and emotional elements of aging in geriatric care systems across the globe. The nature of psychological care demands in older persons is highlighted in this article, which also emphasizes the critical necessity for a thorough and cohesive approach to geriatric support.
