Clinical features, evaluation and review of treatment options for medial epicondylitis
Abstract
Medial epicondylitis, or Golfer’s elbow, is a degenerative tendinopathy of the common flexor tendon causing medial elbow pain. This paper reviews its clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, and diagnostic imaging, highlighting ultrasonography and MRI. Both conservative and novel non-surgical options, including ESWT and PRP, are discussed, alongside surgical techniques for refractory cases. Evidence-based insights emphasize tailored, patient-specific management strategies.
