Abstract

Supernumerary teeth, most frequently located in the anterior maxillary region, represent a common dental anomaly that can significantly impact both occlusion and esthetics if not identified and managed promptly. These additional teeth are classified based on their morphology and anatomical location. Among them, mesiodens, extra teeth situated between the maxillary central incisors are particularly notable for their potential to disrupt the normal eruption pattern of permanent incisors. Such disruptions can lead to delayed eruption, ectopic positioning, crowding, midline shifts, leading to occlusal interferences. This case report is about a rare tubercular mesiodens in a 14 year old female with a comprehensive treatment planning.
