Molecular and cellular basis of disease mechanisms: A comprehensive review
Abstract
The initiation and progression of human diseases arise from disruptions in tightly regulated molecular and cellular processes. These disturbances originate from genetic alterations, dysregulated signaling pathways, impaired protein homeostasis, mitochondrial dysfunction, metabolic imbalance, immune abnormalities, and pathogenic interactions. This review synthesizes the key mechanisms that underlie common diseases and highlights their interconnected nature. A comprehensive understanding of these pathways is essential for the development of targeted therapeutics and precision medicine.
