Utilizing Generative AI as a Productivity Tool for Both Faculty and Students

Generative AI tools have been a topic of controversy in education since their inception.When educators hear terms like "ChatGPT," concerns about cheating and academic dishonesty often arise.However, by setting aside these fears and considering the potential benefits, we can find ways to utilize generative AI tools to enhance productivity for both engineering students and faculty.In this paper, the author introduces practical approaches for using generative AI tools in class assignments without compromising academic integrity.Examples of how these tools can improve productivity, save time during class preparation, and enhance assessment processes will be presented.
